QA Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Lead to join our team and take charge of ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, a proven track record of leading QA teams, and a keen eye for detail. The QA Lead will play a pivotal role in coordinating testing efforts, designing test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the QA team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly validate software functionality, performance, and security.
    • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
    • Define and implement QA processes, standards, and methodologies to ensure consistent and effective testing practices across projects.
    • Identify, prioritize, and report software defects and issues, tracking them through to resolution.
    • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely fixes.
    • Review and provide feedback on product specifications, user stories, and design documents to identify potential gaps or issues early in the development lifecycle.
    • Continuously improve QA processes by staying up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and tools.
    • Drive the automation strategy and framework implementation to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
    • Monitor and report on QA metrics, including test coverage, defect rates, and testing progress.
    • Lead and participate in release management activities, including regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.
    • Foster a culture of quality and collaboration within the QA team and across the organization.
    • Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and recommendations.

Preferred Skills:

What skills do you need?

    • Proven experience 4-8 years in software quality assurance, with a minimum of 1 years in a leadership or senior QA role.
    • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
    • Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking systems.
    • Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation.
    • Solid knowledge of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
    • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
    • ISTQB or similar QA certification is a plus.
