Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Test Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to join our quality-focused team. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing and automation. Your expertise in Selenium, C#, and experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Specflow will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality software solutions.


What we are looking from an ideal candidate?

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Test Automation: Utilize your proficiency in Selenium and C# to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts that cover functional, regression, and performance testing. Automate repetitive testing tasks to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    • Behavior-Driven Development (BDD): Apply your experience with Specflow to collaborate with stakeholders and turn business requirements into executable scenarios that drive automated tests. Write clear and concise Gherkin syntax to define behavior.
    • Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases. Execute tests and report defects using established processes.
    • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle. Work closely with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects.
    • Test Strategy and Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools. Identify opportunities for test automation and implement best practices.
    • Regression and Performance Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality. Participate in performance testing efforts to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and quality standards.
    • Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior team members, share your expertise, and contribute to the growth of the testing team.

What skills do you need?

    • 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation.
    • Proficiency in Selenium for web application testing.
    • Strong programming skills in C# for test automation script development.
    • Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Specflow, including writing Gherkin syntax.
    • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
    • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
