Workday Architect

    Techvantage Analytics is a fast-growing AI services company is looking for smart and enthusiastic Workday Architect (10+ years’ experience). We are seeking a highly skilled, Workday Technical Lead / Architect to join our dynamic team. The Workday Security Architect is responsible for overall security strategy, architecture across the Workday platform maintaining security across data, processes, reporting, global roles/teams and proactively driving pragmatic solutions that support the business in a secure, transparent and resilient manner. 

    As an architect you shall serve as an expert across all HR core processes including Talent Selection, Learning Management, Performance Management, Compensation Management, Social Networking and Extended Enterprise with a broad expertise/knowledge on the Workday modules (HCM data and organizational structures, Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, etc.), advanced report creation, integration support, business process design, configuration, and data management.

    • Management Consulting or Technology Consulting experience 
    • Led one or more teams responsible for design, development, implementation and change management of Workday security related projects 
    • Must have a strong understanding of system release management 
    • Strong process-oriented and data-oriented problem solver 
    • Must have a solid understanding of organizational change management and user adoption methodologies 
    • Security Strategy – This role will own the overall Security Strategy & define the governance to maintain security across the Workday platform over time. 
    • Workday Technical Skills – This role will need the Workday technical skills to modify custom, intersection and integration security configuration. 
    • Consultative, Inter-personal & Influence Skills – This role will work closely with internal Workday administrators and stakeholders and external application management services. Influence is a required skill to gain adoption of security recommendations by multiple stakeholders. 
    • Create new strategies, guidelines, and processes for security where none currently exist. This role will need to concisely explain and communicate them to leadership 
    • Testing – Create and execute test plans and partner with other Workday administrators to ensure thorough testing of all impacted domains. 
    • Upgrades / New Features – Assess, plan, and launch new feature with each Workday Upgrade. 
    • Reporting – Provide security reports to identify improvement opportunities and for security audits. 
    • Actively collaborate with the global services delivery manager & the team to identify areas where support is required to provide robust HR systems service delivery to our customers and stakeholders. 
    • Identify complex / ageing / escalation centric support requests and enable trouble-shooting, solution-building, stakeholder management where required. 
    • Function as a subject matter expert to develop, implement and maintain the global security strategy 
    • Lead and contribute to the evolution of the product, Workday by way of by changes, enhancements, upgrades and implementations in research, analysis, design, testing (Unit, Integration, Regression, Acceptance Testing, etc.), go-live and post-go-live support. 
    • Closely work and support the teams in regional & global entities and assist them in coordinating, planning and executing projects, operations, tasks and operations pertaining to your product i.e. Workday. 
    • Act as primary authority on Workday security configurations; combining expert-level proficiency in Workday with the ability to communicate clearly to project team/stakeholders 
    • Partner with other HR functional stakeholders to identify security gaps and provides solutions 
    • Maintain system authentication policies and strategies 
    • Develop document requirements and technical specifications to support Workday and HR organizational needs for systems implementation, upgrades, and process improvements 
    • Conducts high level analysis and recommends service improvements to increase the efficiency of the Workday system 
    • Reviews Workday releases for new functionality and optimize existing processes and integrations accordingly 
    • Partner & perform with a high-performance, high-calibre service delivery teams based both in-house as well as with a partner organization 
    • Gain and maintain a thorough knowledge of product functionality, supplemented through hands-on testing of use cases when necessary, to accurately respond to product behaviour questions and challenges 
    • Maintain a structured, pro-active engagement with both the project as well as HR stakeholders to ensure projects, requests, changes are delivered per defined KPIs of time, cost & quality 
    • Keep knowledge and track on product evolution milestones – latest functionalities introduced, defects fixed, etc. to ensure both efficient as well as effective product utilization. 
    • Create end user-facing product overviews for new features, including job aids, templates, and recorded PowerPoint based overviews 

Preferred Skills:

What skills do you need?

    • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Workday Security and/or HCM as a Workday Lead/Solution Architect 
    • Experience in Workday modules: HCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Talent/Performance Management, Time Tracking, Recruitment 
    • Experience and understanding of security and security implementation within Workday; managed Workday Access Control projects 
    • SaaS/Cloud Architecture experience 
    • Experience with The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) 
    • Web Single Sign-On (WSSO) experience 
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including value propositions for strong security practices 
    • Full understanding of the software development lifecycle with focus on security by design concepts 
    • Experience evaluating data flows, creating threat models, and performing risk assessment activities 
    • Experience assessing security architecture and capabilities of SaaS and COTs products 
    • Experience designing architecture with industry standard security technologies and solutions (e. g. encryption (PGP), certificates (x509), MFA/2FA, and SAML/SSO/IDaaS) 
    • Experience in securing architecture for web services and web-based applications with technical understanding of major cloud security risks, including: advanced persistent threats, data breaches, hacking/social engineering, denial of service, and authentication issues 
    • Knowledge of HR systems and services 
    • Experience with Workday and other HR platform security 
    • Knowledge of downstream integrations to gauge impact of changes, triage and remedy incidents and/or scope level of effort for new initiatives. These would include Active Directory, Okta, Kronos, Office 365, IDM tools, Service Now 
    • Advanced MS Excel Skills (formulas, pivot tables, v lookups) and MS Office Skills 
    • Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-year projects globally 
    • Ability to operate successfully in a matrix environment, working across multiple functions globally   
    • Exposure and experience in HR functions, processes and / or HR shared services teams. 
    • Strong customer orientation and service driven mentality 
    • Excellent intercultural communication skills, ability to engage at various levels within the organization 
    • Keen process focus, ability to organize diverse activities into structured processes & a systems orientation 
    • Strong hands-on and can-do mentality. Independent & Process focused approach. 
    • Ability to function in matrix environments, multiple stakeholders with an adaptive mindset and cross-cultural sensitivities
